Oak Ridge Institute of Continued Learning
ORICL, in celebration of their fifth anniversary in November 2002, established the ORICL Scholarship Endowment Fund to provide educational opportunities for deserving students at Roane State Community College.
The selection of the recipient(s) of the ORICL Scholarship Awards will be made by the Roane State Community College Scholarship Selection Committee (the “Committee”). The Committee will be responsible for notifying the recipients in order that such students may, to the extent possible, receive their scholarship at the next academic registrations following selection. Award letters for the ORICL Scholarships will carry the name of the honoree of this award in such a manner that the recipients will understand the source of the scholarship funds they will receive.
Impact
The ORICL Scholarship is open to all applicants regardless of race, color, creed, or sex with the following qualifications:
- Recipients will attend at least one class on the Oak Ridge Branch Campus
- Preference will be given to adult students who wish to attend college after a gap in their education
