a) Recipient(s) must meet the Foundation’s scholarship eligibility criteria requirements indicated below:

iv) Recipient(s) must be in good standing with the college.
v) Maintain a minimum of 2.5 GPA for scholarship renewal while a student at RSCC, unless otherwise indicated in the below criteria.
vi) Students must reapply each year for this consideration.
vii) Submit a thank-you letter and photograph of yourself for Foundation donor(s) which can be used in College or Foundation social media, website, events or other marketing/promotional efforts and materials.
viii) These items should be submitted via the Foundation Office as directed in Scholarship guidelines within 10 days of Foundation’s electronic award notification and your acceptance of an award.

b) Recipient(s) must meet the additional eligibility criteria requirements indicated below:

  • Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, and fees. Grants for other purposes may be issued only with the prior approval of any one of the above named student(s).
  • If the recipient fails to register, withdraws from college, or does not maintain eligibility requirements, the Committee will select another student if possible; otherwise, funds will be held within the Fund for disbursement in the next semester.
  • Scholarships shall generally be granted on an annual basis, with preference given to continuing recipients who maintain eligibility. A recipient who must interrupt their enrollment due to circumstances beyond their control should be considered a continuing recipient when they return. Scholarships may be either granted as a full scholarship, or multiple partial scholarships as deemed most needed by the scholarship committee. It is the intent that scholarships should be substantial in nature, and that partial scholarships should cover at least 30% of the eligible expenses.
